Yuikiko Duke critic/moderator, Japan/Sweden
Since 2002 Yuikiko Duke have been a literature critic in SVT´s (Sweden’s state television) morning show. She´s also a writer for several literary magazines along with being the editor for the magazine Vi läser since 2011. As of 2015 she is the artistic leader of Stockholm literature festival and the project leader of a series of seminars about modern Japan. Between 1987 and 1994 Duko was based in Japan where she worked in news for Sveriges radio and SVT among others.
Duke has translated several books from Japanese to Swedish, a few examples being Kafka at the beach and Norwegian wood by Haruki Murakami and the Nobel prize winner Kenzaburo Oe.
